At the Mountains of Madness: City of the Elder Things

17x13" @300dpi, PainterX, Wacom, PSP

I believe this is the last (and biggest / most detailed) of my AtMoM exterior digital oils based on my POV modelling research. I hope to get started on some images inside the buildings and in the caverns leading down to... you know where.

Very nice, has a desolet, dead feel to it, exactly as I'd imagine would permeate that ancient plateau of Leng.

We are legion, it would appear :-)

Digital oil means I relied extensively on the oil brush tools in Corel Painter to make this. Great YouTube intro to Painter here.

It's fun stuff. The sense of interacting with ink/paint on a page rather than just colorizing pixels is quite eerie :-)

Thanks- I might try it some day- I've done stuff on regular photoshop but find the results a bit slick
