During last year, Paul "Paul-Of-Cthulhu" Maclean, the site's operator gathered a bunch of folks together to work on a really cool project. The Lovecraftian Tales from the Table DVD is nearly 9 Gigs of insanity-packed Call of Cthulhu roleplaying fun. The main feature of the disc is over 100 hours of audio-recorded Call of Cthulhu roleplaying sessions where the famous roleplayers of the Bradford University RolePlaying Society (BURPS) played through the classic CoC campaigns of Masks of Nyarlathotep and Horror on the Orient Express (with the latter recorded in amazing binaural surround).
Besides the big audiogames there's also video and audio interviews with various luminaries of Lovecraft-land including the likes of Ramsey Campbell, S.T.Joshi and Sandy Petersen and lots of cool contributed media of all sorts.
Art for the disk was provided by the awesome freelance illustrator Eric M. Smith, prolific RPG illustrator Earl Geier, much-loved Lovecraftian cartoonist Francois "Goomi" Launet (of "The Unspeakable Vault of Doom) and... utterly preposterous though it sounds even to me... uh... me. Hoho! I also designed and coded the web interface for the DVDROM front-end and provided some musical works and audiobook readings for the content.
A few copies of the disk are still available over at InnsmouthHouse.com, its only a few quid and all the proceeds go to keeping this fantastic, award-winning fan-site up and running.
Phew. Man, I sound like I work in marketing! Oh wait - I do.
