Various bits and bobs of Luna and Nightmare-Moon stuff that I've put out in the last couple weeks have all been parts of an effort to make a couple minutes of original video and music about Luna's enigmatic exile on/in the Moon. It's been a fascinating challenge - not something I've ever tried before really and certainly not at this level of complexity. The completed video is now up on my YouTube Channel and comes out at about two and a half minutes of Luna/NMM shots, animations and various moon-y material. I'm not as happy with it as I could be - I wish it were better (at least so that Celestia won't banish me to somewhere without a post office when she sees it). But on the other hoof, I'm happy I did it, enjoyed working on it and I'm pleased to have made something different and - I hope - that at least one person will really "get".
If you watch it you must, of course, make a formal commitment to hug Luna whenever you get the chance.
It's amazing what 'projects' can do to you, I think. I'm just kinda reeling that it all started on June 14 with this tiny pixel art Luna. And two weeks later here I am sitting amongst a heap of hundreds of frames of animation, various original bits of music (the one of the video was not the first attempt) and Celestia-only knows how many hours of rendering.
Next up... err... possibly more work on isometric-pixel-Ponyville stuff.

Q-Con XX
A few weeks ago, Puppygames was invited over to Belfast to exhibit at Q-Con. It took just a fleeting instant for Caspian and I to decide that this was a convention not to be missed. Just look at the stuff they had going on!
So, laptops in tow, a massively delayed flight lofted us into Belfast International in the early hours of the morning the day before the show. The Q-Con team put us up in the fantastic student accommodation at Elms Village.
The convention itself is a sprawling affair starting Friday evening (though crowds were amassing outside much earlier in the day) and running right through until Sunday night with events spread over s
Bagfuls of Derpy
Just a quickie I had to post. Some lovely deviant by the name of Versalini (https://www.deviantart.com/versalini) put my Neon Derpy wallpaper image onto a bag.
Check out the bag right here! Hehe! Very stylish, I love it :-)

Ultimate Best Pony Challenge
So, I got to wondering how many faves and deviations of each pony I had in my account and an idea struck me...
*boink*
Why not make a web pony-race game where the winner is the based on the numbers of each pony in the player's DeviantArt account?
All you need to do is tell it your DA page address and it'll race the Mane 6 plus the alicorns, Trixie and Derpy and show you who your real Best Pony is :-)

Give it a try!
(Oh, needless to say but obviously if you don't have any ponies in your account, it's not going to work ;-) )
Gold ENnie Award
At the Annual Gen Con EN World RPG Awards, "The ENnies", over at Gen Con Indy in Indianapolis last night, Yog-Sothoth.com - won the Gold ENnie for Best Podcast. Yay! So well done to Paul, Finn, Neil, Chris, Val and everyone else on the team. I produce the music for the show and, so I'm told, they played one of my tracks at the award ceremony! :squee:
